The Block Dock Base is exactly what you need for those places where a flat surface is the only option for storing your bars.
The Slim, Wide and SuperWide Block Docks will slide right into the top plate when it is removed from the base. Squeeze the legs together to install. It's easy to adjust the legs to ensure a tight fit.
Because your bars will still dry just as fast, they'll last as long as they would in a Block Dock that's suctioned to a surface. The base will require more regular cleaning of the drainage tray and the bottom base. Performance wise, that's the key difference.
The Base is made in stainless steel to be heavy enough for stability and is powdercoated in matching Block Dock colours. We encourage you to get adventurous with mix and match and share your colour combos with us.
The base is 8cm long, 5.5cm wide and 2.7cm tall at the highest point of the back. It weighs around 120grams.

I dont like liquid soap but old/fashioned soap bars had a tendency to turn to mush 😕 on our bathroom handbasin. We've had BlockDocks in our shower for some time so it was an easy and logical step to get a BlockDock stand for the handbasin
I only really like to review items when I love them, but I guess this may help the decision making process for someone else. I was actually a little disappointed by the base. I LOVE the other block dock items I have purchased, but I found this one quite pricey for just a base, and then I kinda wished it was heavier and elevated. I have ended up using it on top of a wooden soap holder as this provides a larger base area and holds it up off of the vanity so that it doesn't end up sitting in water as it otherwise would due to water ending up around it when removing and replacing the soap for use. I can definitley recommend many of the other products, and no doubt others will be prefectly happy with item...it just didn't really live up to my own expectations.
Block Dock Base - where have you been all my life??? no more slimy soap mess on hands or to clean from the basin. Soap bar lasts longer because it dries between uses. And don't you look smart! WINNING!!!
Hesitated at first because of extra expense but so glad I talked myself into it. Heavy enough to hold steady, easy to clean and won’t go mouldy like the wooden one it replaced
