Draining Tray for your 1L Sistema Leakproof Container with Clips
Having sold out of our gorgeous SuperTins from India, we decided on a close-to-home alternative solution. If international shipping ever returns to affordable, we'll think again about a metal option, but honestly this is one time when hardwearing reusable plastic just might be a better solution.
We've made a new draining tray to fit snugly into a 1L Sistema Leakproof Container with Clips - the one you can often find on special in the supermarket or may already be residing in your household, ready for alternate using! It ONLY fits the containers with the BLUE clips. Sistema has made their red and pastel colours a different size.
The Sistema container is lightweight and durable so it is up for the job of travelling with your bars when there's a new gorgeous lime green draining tray to adorn it. The combination makes a great Travel Soap Container for wherever you go and however you get there!
The draining tray weighs 48grams.
Depending on your bar shapes and sizes, you should easily fit a shampoo, conditioner and soap bar side-by-side in the container. Alternatively slice up whatever you want to carry in pieces and pop them in.
Be sure to drain off any liquid before shutting the lid. Use your hand to hold the bars down while you angle the container and let any liquid escape. As soon as you're home, lift the lid and get some air flowing in. Transfer anything soft to your Block Dock toot sweet and it will harden up pretty quickly.
While your Sistema container goes well in the dishwasher, the draining tray is best washed by hand.

I am currently travelling in Vietnam and my Sistema box and drainer are perfect. It fits all my blocks (and a few other bits), seals tightly, dries the blocks, is light and easy to pack and scoots through airline security. Love it!
The draining tray has been brilliant to put in my work locker. Now I can use my solid shampoo and conditioner bars after a gym session and leave them to dry out completely between use. No more mess inside a small space.
We bought the tray before a week long holiday, but also as a temporary option until we can buy more block docks.
It does a great job allowing the bars to dry after use and with some creative tetris you can fit a few in.
Previous soap dishes have made the bars go soggy and gross but this was a much better option.
